I know it is just a short MIDI sequence, but I really want to know who composed the original "puppet", since it is by far the most iconic song from the OST. The only thing I see is it being credited as part of the Ib OST, as well as the sung version (I've been hearing it nonstop since 2015, for real). The issue is, I am just not able to find the original song. I later read that the song was replaced by a new one because the original was only allowed for non-commercial games. I was surprised and admittedly shocked when I learned that my favourite piece of the OST is not present in the remake: "puppet", best known as Mary's theme. This made me think about the time I played the Ib remake just as it released on Steam. This made me curious as to which songs from the Ib OST are covers just curiosity as a Mangoré casual listener, since the songs are royalty-free. Upon searching further into the OST, I realized that "spreludenew", the song that plays at the beginning and in the Ib Remake trailer, is also a cover from Mangoré's "Prelude in C Minor". Yesterday, I was listening to the Ib OST in YouTube and, in one of the video's comment section, I saw someone saying that the theme called "doll" is actually a cover of "El Sueño de la Muñequita", a composition from renown Paraguayan guitarrist Agustín Pío Barrios, better known as Nitsuga Mangoré.
