If the CPU is the cause of this issue, would this be considered a defect? Is gear 1 supposed to be a guarantee by manufacturer if running on the ram/mobo/cpu rated spec? (3200mt/s)Īny suggestions on what I can try that might get me gear 1 on the XMP speed? (y crunch passed for 9hours with all tests turned on) running the ram at 3600 18/21/21/42 gear 2 works so I feel like the ram is not the issue.CPU SA (VCCSA) is 0.896V in bios I believe and it drops to 0.886V when running Y cruncher.Tried 2133/2400/2600/2800 gear 1, they would boot into windows, it looks like the cut off is 2800 as 2900 would fail to boot and lead back to the memory overclock failure message.Set 3200mhz 16/18/18/36 at 1.35V gear 2 (This boots, 9 hours of Y Cruncher passes).Flashed the BIOS from the stock version 1 to the 2nd one.Got into the BIOS, tried enabling XMP, saved and restarted but it would fail to boot and eventually go back to the memory overclock failed message. It would eventually boot up saying memory overclock failure, press F1 to go to setup.

Placed the ram sticks back in the 2nd and 4th slot and waited longer.

(should of waited) I immediately powered it off after a few seconds and tried different slots and using one ram stick at a time but it would repeat the same thing on certain instances. I assembled the parts and powered it on for the first time, it would alternate on the CPU/dram fault light. the ram SKU is verified to be on the QVL list on the motherboards compatibility page. Just purchased this CPU/RAM/Mobo a week ago to upgrade my PC and I am unable to run the rated XMP speed in gear 1.
